Wayne Evans is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Institution of Chemical Engineers. He has spent most of his career with blue chip companies in the field of water treatment, covering the municipal, nuclear, food & beverage, chemicals and oil & gas industries.  In his position as VP Industrial Technology at Veolia Water Solutions and Technologies, Wayne manages the selection, industrialisation and commercialisation

of innovative technologies and services for the global water industry.

Henry Clarke, Associate Director - Energy & Environment Principal Finance Group, Standard Chartered Bank

In his role, Henry is responsible for analysing and transacting equity and mezzanine investment opportunities in the renewable energy, resource efficiency, water, waste and associated cleantechsectors, across the markets of Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. In his prior role, Henry was an Associate in Standard Chartered’s Renewable Energy & Environmental Finance (“REEF”) team, working out of both the London and Singapore offices. The REEF team focused on providing Corporate Finance services to the Bank’s clients with a particular focus on Project Finance, Corporate Advisory and Mergers & Acquisitions.Prior to joining the REEF team, Henry has worked both for Standard Chartered in Financial Markets Corporate Sales and in Credit Analysis. Henry has completed all three of the CFA exams, has an MA in International Relations & Diplomacy from the School of Oriental & African Studies, and has a First Class History degree from the University of Durham.

Anoop Poddar, Partner, Energy Ventures

Anoop Poddar is a partner in Energy Ventures, leading investments into high potential technology backed companies in the upstream sector. Mr. Poddar is currently a board member of Fotech Solutions, Deep Casing Tools, Red Spider, Read Well Services and Geoglobal Resources. Previously he was a board member of Novadrill. He is also a member of R&D committee of SPE and has 7 years of global drilling and completions experience with Schlumberger IPM and Essar Oil Limited. Mr. Poddar holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, an MSc in Offshore Engineering from Robert Gordon University and a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Petroleum Engineering from Indian School of Mines.

Lee Clements, Investment Manager, Impax Asset Management

Since joining Impax in June 2008, Lee has taken a lead role in the research coverage of the Impax universe, in addition to contributing to portfolio construction and management across all the listed equity strategies. Lee has 11 years investment experience, 5 of which has been specialised in the environmental sector. Prior to joining he was a venture capital investment manager at Nomura and WHEB Ventures, making investments in multiple clean technology companies in Europe and the US. Previously he was a corporate strategist at Lehman Brothers working with senior management on the bank's European strategic growth plans. He has a BSc in Physics from Imperial College.

Bill Staby, CEO, Resolute Marine Energy

Bill Staby is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Boston-based Resolute Marine Energy, Inc. (RME). Bill is an experienced manager of early-stage technology companies. His entrepreneurial career started in 1997 when he was co-founder of an Internet business-to-consumer commerce company that subsequently went public.  Bill then helped start two companies in media technology and business process automation before founding RME in 2006.  Earlier in his career, Bill was an investment banker at Credit Suisse in the Electric Utility Corporate Finance Group and later he was co-head of the North American mergers & acquisitions team at Rabobank International.  Bill received his undergraduate degree in accounting and finance from the City University of New York. He went on to earn his MBA from New York University in 1987. Bill has recently been a featured speaker at a TED conference.

Resolute Marine Energy Inc. (RME) is developing wave energy converters (WEC) that generate clean energy from ocean waves. Its near-term goal is to complete development and commercialization of a wave-driven seawater desalination system that operates completely “off-grid” and fills a huge gap in the market for small and medium sized seawater desalination systems. RME’s business model is to target off-grid coastal communities suffering from water scarcity, initially focusing on South Africa. The company is seeking funding to develop a pre-commercial pilot plant for its first South African customer.
